Fuji X-E1 and Minolta Rokkor 58mm f/1.4 lens

DSCF4059p

Meet Musa, my youngest. I recently bought three Minolta lenses, 28mm, 45mm and a 58 mm. I regularly use the first two, so decided to snap few shots with 58mm/1.4 lens.

The above has been post processed in GIMP, just some micro-contrast boot followed by merging two layers in overlay mode. The straight out of the camera is in color:

DSCF4059

Shot at ISO 1600, f/1.4, 1/30 sec.

I am very pleased with the results. Hope you like the portrait.

  1. Doesn’t the B&W version look so much better. Nice. MM

That is because of post processing. However, B&W straight from the camera also look much better than the color. Now a days, With this fuji X-E1, I tend to shoot more B&W.

    Love the B & W shot.

    Wonderful portraits, especially the b&w!

  4. This is hard to find beautiful color et light at the same time so the BW is a wonderful tool for all of us.
