This is a typical shrine in Thatta, Sind, Pakistan. Somebody, supposed to be a saint, is buried there. Many people visit this place everyday, either to pay homage or just for sight seeing. Some people, like the following’ dedicate their lives and live here and keep the place neat and clean.
But there is lot of business and money involved here. People who come here usually donate something for the shrine OR buy something from the associated shops.

All this shrine thing is being done in the name of religion which is not correct. It has more to do with regional and local heritage than with the Islamic teachings. But this the way of life mostly in rural Pakistan.
