The Waiting Game

Islamabad is not an old city. It was built from scratch as the new capital of Pakistan in the sixties. Majority who lives here work in government offices. A good number of these officers enjoy a chauffeur driven car provided by the government. When the families are doing shopping, the drivers stand by the cars and wait for the families to return. This is a unique kind of culture, only seen in Islamabad.  I have not seen this in any other city of Pakistan.

Here is a sample:

sometimes, even a member of the family may sty outside and wait:

Some use this time for a bit of car care:

And when I wait, I take these sort of photographs.

Enjoy.
