Portrait of a villager

Ok, one more Baba of the village:

Had a little chat with him. His wife helps us in household chores when ever we visit the village.

  1. I really like your close portrait work. There is an intimacy there. This is particularly true with this gentleman. The deep shadowing in his eyes create a bit of mystery. Did you tell me at some point of your reluctance to talk with people on the street and ask them to take their picture. If my memory is correct, you seem to have overcome that resistance. Your pictures show it.

Thanks for liking the work. This 21mm lens has minimum distortion and I really like shooting with it. As for shyness, I am still shy but while at my own village I feel more comfortable.

  2. A serious, but very kind face.
