Hunza…The Community

Hunza is a close-knit community and several programs are run for the benefit of the people. We visited a workshop where women learn the craft and make wooden furniture. The products are then sold. The women working there are also partners in the business.

Here are few shots:

Testing a chair:

These women were making the traditional musical instrument, similar to violin.

So interesting to see the country and the people (since I have a book on Hunza Health Secrets C1978 by Renee Taylor in which she shares the journey to the area, the people and their way of life back some 35+ years ago).

Thanks. During our visit we asked a little boy about health problems in his family. His reply: When people in my family get old, they die. That was the only decease he knew.
